Second production batch of revolutionary electric scooter now available

BROOKLYN, NY (July 16, 2024) - Infinite Machine, the New York company building the best non-car vehicles on earth, is opening up the second production batch for P1, its flagship electric scooter. P1 is a breakthrough vehicle for cities, with best in class performance, an iconic design, next-generation technology, and unparalleled utility. Today the company is opening up Batch I for customers in the United States, with a limited run of 250 First Edition vehicles.

"We had great success with our original P1 production batch, and we want to build on that momentum by opening up further orders for deliveries next year," comments Eddie Cohen, co-founder of Infinite Machine. "We are also hosting a summer tour in New York, the Hamptons, Aspen, LA, and San Francisco, to expand our reach and showcase our scooters nationwide."

P1 arose out of brothers Joe and Eddie Cohen's dissatisfaction with existing two wheel electric vehicles. One one side of the spectrum are plastic, low-end vehicles with subpar performance and rudimentary technology. On the other end are legacy companies who struggle to adapt to the possibilities of electrification, new technology, and modern sensibilities. As lifelong New Yorkers, the Cohen brothers saw an opportunity to build the ultimate vehicle for exploring and navigating their home city. With a team of engineers and designers, they designed the vehicle of their dreams, drawing inspiration from Brutalist architecture, consumer technology, and artists like Donald Judd.

Featuring planar anodized aluminum panels and a powder-coated steel chassis, P1 is striking from every angle. It is the fastest vehicle in its class, reaching a top speed of 55 mph with lightning quick acceleration from a 6 kW motor (12 kW peak) and a 3.2 kWh, 72-volt battery system. Charging is easy with P1's removable UL-certified battery, compatible with standard household outlets. Riders will get 60 miles of city riding on a full charge.

With today's announcement, the company sheds more light on the technology that will be included in P1: an automotive-grade dashboard and infotainment system that runs Carplay -a first of its kind for two wheelers and InfiniteOS, its proprietary non-car operating system, which will get continuous over the air updates after customers receive their vehicles. Alongside the onboard computer are two cameras, front and back, for theft prevention, safety, and content creation. P1 also uses GPS, along with mechanical and digital technologies for ensuring that vehicles are not tampered with. When customers are away from their vehicles, they can use Pi's iOS and Android apps for remote unlock access to the vehicle and with location tracking.

P1's extensibility extends beyond software. It features a rear modular system that allows customers to customize it according to their specific requirements, adding extra cargo space and functionality as needed. Ample storage is integrated throughout the vehicle, providing storage for all essentials and offering the option to mount additional accessories, ranging from cargo carriers to loudspeakers. Whether it's daily commuting essentials, groceries, or recreational gear, P1 ensures that everything you need is easily accessible and securely stored.

P1 was designed to fit seamlessly into customers' lives. It can be parked between two cars on any city street, and its removable battery allows for at home charging. The vehicle can seat two passengers comfortably and can be operated for up to speeds of 30 mph with a standard driver's license in the US. With a motorcycle license, a software unlock enables speeds of up to 55 mph.

"Our mission is to inspire a post-car future by building the best alternatives to cars. That starts with P1," said Joseph Cohen, CEO of Infinite Machine. "We are excited to open Batch Il up as we gear up towards production.

P1 blends an iconic design with thrilling performance and practical utility. Customers can order P1 today, with deliveries in 2025 for customers in the United States. People outside of the US can add their names to a waitlist. P1 Launch Edition starts at $10,000 with a $1,000 deposit due on order.
